Stage 1

Stage 2

Identifying and applying tactics in games to achieve success (PDF 189.5KB) assesses how well each stage 2 student can identify and apply specific tactics in a game to achieve success. The task also allows students to describe the intent of the tactics used in the game and reflect on how their efforts affect skills and achievement in games.

Stage 3

Anaphylaxis (DOCX 59.6KB) support the teaching of content specific to anaphylaxis signs, symptoms, management and prevention through PDHPE.

Modified basketball (PDF 376KB) aims to develop the skills and tactical understanding needed for students to participate in invasion games such as basketball.

Modified league tag/oztag (PDF 369KB) aims to develop the skills and tactical understanding needed for students to participate in invasion games such as touch football and league tag/oztag.

Move, think and learn through invasion games – football focus (PDF 324.83KB) develops the decision making, problem solving, critical and creative thinking, game play and movement skills of stage 3 students to be active and confident participants in invasion games.

  • Activities in week 1-3 are based around soccer skills and tactics.
  • Activities in week 4-6 are based around touch football and Oztag skills and tactics.
  • Activities in week 7-10 are based around AFL skills and tactics.

Jump into gym (PDF 322 KB) and Swing into gym (PDF 296 KB) aim to develop a range of non-locomotor and locomotor skills through gymnastics activities.

Modified softball (PDF 297 KB) aims to assist teachers to explicitly teach the fundamental skills of the sprint run, the overarm throw, the catch and the two-hand strike and provide opportunity for students to practise these skills in increasingly complex situations.

Implementing tactics for success in games (PDF 174.43KB) assesses how well each stage 3 student can apply multiple tactics within a physical activity, implement tactics which account for the strengths of themselves and others and can persist with challenging physical activities.

Playing for life resources include the activity cards containing a variety of games designed to develop the skills of a range of physical activities. Cards can be filtered and searched based on the Stage of learning, the movement skill in focus or the category of game.
