Support for new K-10 syllabuses

Syllabuses are developed by the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA). Our role is to support teachers to become familiar with, and plan for new syllabuses, as well as to stay informed about changes to course and assessment requirements as they occur.

NESA has released new K-10 syllabuses for Chinese, French, German, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean and Spanish, for implementation from 2019 (with Years 7 and 9) and from 2020 (with Years 8 and 10).

To find out more about professional learning relating to the implementation of these syllabuses, please visit the Languages syllabus implementation section.
