Programming

A focus of teaching English is for students to develop and use conceptual knowledge. The English textual concepts website will assist teachers reorganise syllabus content into textual concepts and processes to better assist programming. Using textual concepts teachers are able to chart the development of student understanding through each stage of learning—detailing what students learn through their engagement with texts.

A number of resources have been created to assist with the teaching of textual concepts and learning processes related to the English K–10 Syllabus. They can be found in the resources section of the English textual concepts website.

The NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) English K–10 programming page also contains useful information to assist with the programming of 7–10 English, including links to sample scope and sequences as well as sample units for Stages 4 and 5.
