Description: This professional learning session will provide teachers with inspiration and strategies for supporting students undertaking the HSC Individual Project: Video Drama. In this session an industry professional will share their expertise and approaches to developing a short film. In the first part of the session, the guest presenter will share their own creative process in a real-world context. This presentation will be followed by a ‘working-bee’ forum connecting these practices to the requirements of the HSC Video Drama project. Participants can ask questions and share ideas with the presenter and experienced educators.

Description: This professional learning course will provide opportunities for teachers to share and collect revision strategies for the HSC Drama written exam. Experienced HSC drama teachers will present a suite of strategies for making the most out of written exam revision time, following the conclusion of the NESA practical exam block. This presentation will include a resource package and will be followed by a workshop in which course participants will share their own successful revision strategies. Sessions for this course will run for 90 minutes and will be presented online through Microsoft Teams.

During this session teachers will be provided with professional learning based on gap analyses of the Learning from Home website, gathered in the statewide staffroom’s teacher professional learning needs survey and Curriculum Secondary Learners priorities. Each statewide staffroom meeting focuses on NESA updates, resource, professional learning, curriculum updates and development. These meetings provide opportunities for teachers to engage with curriculum advisors and officers in the Creative arts for direct response relating to the delivery of the syllabuses in their classroom. This session will be viewed on Microsoft Stream in the Creative Arts statewide staffroom.
