Description: This professional learning for teachers is one in a series of four composition workshops which will examine and unpack creativity in the music classroom in stages 4 to 6. In this session, highly experienced Stage 6 music teacher Ms Fatima de Assis will cover the requirements for HSC Music 1 core and elective composition, unpack what a composition portfolio should look like, whilst also providing an insight into the many creative ways to approach preliminary composition activities. This workshop will also examine how best to support our students with limited notation experience and troubleshoot technological challenges that may present themselves in the composition process. This 90 minute online session through Microsoft teams will conclude with question time from participants.

The Drama Essay - V2

Through this online learning module participants will engage with the syllabus and unpack the outcomes, and structure to identify and reflect on effective teaching and learning experiences when teaching the Drama essay component for Stage 6. Participants will be given interactive classroom activities and strategies from year 7-12 to promote practical and written learning opportunities in appreciating and critically studying. Participants will regularly revise and reflect on the elements of drama, drawing connections with the requirements and teaching and learning activities. Course activities are also designed to provide learning and collaboration opportunities for teachers to explore and establish individual goals by reflecting on their current classroom practice of the topic.
Completing The Drama Essay - V2 is interim accredited for 3 hours.

Stage 6 Drama-HSC

This course looks at the Stage 6 HSC drama syllabus and the making, performing and critically studying requirements and introduces the HSC projects and examinations. Participants will reflect on their practice and knowledge of the Stage 6 course and its requirements throughout this module.

Visual arts Stage 6 and the body of work

This online course allows participants to build their understanding and skills when unpacking the key features and components of the Stage 6 Preliminary and HSC Visual arts syllabus. Participants will interact directly with the syllabus components of the frames, conceptual framework and practice by completing online learning tasks, before interacting with a series of teacher and student videos based on the teaching and learning journeys for the HSC Body of Work.
Completing Visual arts Stage 6 and the body of work is interim accredited for 6 hours.
