National music teacher mentor program
The National Music Teacher Mentor Program is designed to build the capacity of K-6 classroom teachers in music education. A mentor spends up to 16 half days in the school during Term 2 and 3, working with each participating teacher in their classroom. Teachers are provided with the skills, strategies and practices to develop their confidence and ability in music education. The program is linked explicitly to the NSW K-6 Creative Arts Syllabus and provides teachers with the skills to plan, program, and assess in music.
