Maintaining a focus on literacy and numeracy Years 3 to 6

Target audience: Stage 2 – Stage 3 teachers
This session will support teachers of years 3-6 to maintain a focus on students’ literacy and numeracy development in the delivery of curriculum in a variety of circumstances. It will provide learning about a process for teachers to:
- determine students’ literacy and numeracy learning strengths and needs
- identify the opportunities to meet these needs through the syllabus outcomes and content
- select and implement targeted teaching strategies
- monitor and provide feedback on student progress.
