Instructional Leaders have been appointed and attended a two day workshop with Aboriginal Education and Community Engagement.
Aboriginal Education and Community Engagement held a two day professional learning workshop in April for Instructional Leaders that will be working across 12 selected schools. The Instructional Leaders will develop the pedagogical practices of teachers to support capacity to engage Aboriginal students in learning and improve their literacy and numeracy results.
This Instructional Leaders initiative aims to progress the state priority of increasing student engagement and the proportion of Aboriginal students in the top two bands of NAPLAN in reading and numeracy, this additionally aligns with the department’s Bump It Up strategy.
