  • Njulgang ‘We All’ Interactive Stall for 2017 SpecFest

    This year’s SpecFest, the pre-show entertainment to the Schools Spectactular, featured a new interactive stall entitled Njulgang hosted by Aboriginal Education and Communities Directorate. Njulgang is pronounced new-wool-garng and means ‘We All’ in Dharawal Language.

  • 2017 NAIDOC Week - Film Competition

    Aboriginal Education and Community Engagement held a short film competition for the theme of 2017 NAIDOC Week, ‘Our Languages Matter.’

    Schools were invited to submit a short film or animation featuring their local Aboriginal language and communicating what language means to their school, students and community.

    We are excited to announce and congratulate the following competition winners:

  • Instructional Leaders

    Instructional Leaders have been appointed and attended a two day workshop with Aboriginal Education and Community Engagement.

  • Girls Academy

    Students from the Dubbo Girls Academy met with Aboriginal Education and Community Engagement as part of National Indigenous Youth Parliament Week.

  • 2017 Nanga Mai Awards

    Aboriginal Education and Community Engagement congratulates this year’s 2017 NSW Public Schools Nanga Mai Award Winners.
