Whether you’re a longtime listener or tuning in for the first time, curious about what the Teach NSW Podcast has in store for you, we’ve got something exciting lined up. After celebrating Literacy and Numeracy Week, co-host's Shannon and Siobhan welcomed Alessandra, a Literacy Adviser for Years 7-12, Secondary English and EAL/D teacher, and Juliana, a K-6 Numeracy Adviser and primary school teacher.
In Episode 15, Alessandra, a self-confessed bookworm, shares her love of language that launched her into a career in literacy. We explore strategies for embedding literacy across all key learning areas and discuss the idea that literacy is everyone’s business.
Episode 16 will be released at the start of Term 4. In this episode, listeners will meet Juliana, when she joins Shannon and Siobhan on the couch to talk about practical numeracy strategies that can be implemented in primary school classrooms to improve student outcomes.
