Scholarship application tips and tricks
Each year, the department welcomes current and future teachers to apply for a range of scholarships, programs and sponsored retraining opportunities.

Current teachers can explore opportunities listed on the enhance your career section of the Education website. Future teachers can get paid to study and apply for scholarships whether they are HSC students, university students or career changers.
Kick-start your application today by following these handy tips and tricks:
Review the frequently asked questions and eligibility criteria found on each scholarship page. This will provide you with a stronger understanding of the scholarship terms and conditions and the types of applicants we are looking for.
Prepare and submit the required documentation as outlined on the scholarship application page. Where required, allow additional time to have your documents certified by a Justice of the Peace (JP).
Arrange a suitable time for your referees to read your supporting statement and/or scholarship application documents. This will allow them to provide feedback and give you the chance to make adjustments where necessary.
