The first years of teaching are a time of rapid growth and discovery. The Early Career Academy supports early career teachers to connect with the profession, strengthen their teaching and learning practices and confidently contribute to our shared commitment to inspiring excellence across public schools.
Through the 'Succeed' pillar of the plan, early career teachers are supported to access tailored professional learning, along with enhanced induction and mentoring support, to facilitate a smooth transition into the classroom.
Given the instrumental role supervising teachers and mentors play in supporting early career teachers, the 'Succeed' pillar also delivers training, advice and support for experienced teachers.

Mentors Connect Community
Early career teacher mentors looking to access induction and mentoring ideas and resources, are invited to join the Mentors Connect Professional Learning Community.
This collaborative community supports ongoing growth and effectiveness as a mentor through regular updates, online professional learning sessions and a dedicated Teams channel offering access to tailored resources.
What's planned for 2026
In 2026, the Early Career Academy will continue to build on this support by:
- Providing opportunities for early career teachers to connect, build their professional capacity and support their wellbeing through Early Career Teacher Conferences.
- Providing access to a digital information hub that offers valuable resources, a curated professional learning library and the latest news and events.
