Since time immemorial, the Brewarrina area on the Barwon-Darling River has held great significance for Aboriginal history and culture. Brewarrina is home to the Brewarrina Aboriginal Fish Traps – an ancient arrangement of rocks used to corral fish and estimated to be around 40,000 years old.
