North of the celebrated winemaking region of the Hunter Valley, the Muswellbrook area is another chapter entirely, but an even more significant one in the bigger picture - the story of NSW. THe regions’ industries supply 60% of NSW’s power. It’s up here, in the hills around the towns of Singleton and Muswellbrook that a series of massive open cut mines churn out unimaginable quantities of coal for home and abroad.

The rich mining history of the region is juxtaposed against its rolling vineyards and World Heritage wilderness, coupled with its abundant local produce, scenic drives and well-reserved historic buildings, providing the perfect backdrop for a relaxing weekend to unwind.

The Muswellbrook area has good schools, services and facilities, access to the great outdoors, and plenty to occupy and entertain inspirational educators looking for a tree change and fantastic job and promotional opportunities.
