From university open days to high school expos and regional careers fairs, the Teach NSW team attend over 300 events annually. These events provide opportunities for meaningful conversations about teaching careers in NSW public schools, including pathways into the profession, scholarships and employment benefits, and the diverse career opportunities available across the state.

Highlights from the year so far

April - Sydney Royal Easter Show

Teach NSW attended the Sydney Royal Easter Show, where the team welcomed thousands of visitors to the stall over the two-week event. Visitors included aspiring teachers, university students, career changers and families, all engaging with information about pathways into teaching in NSW public schools.

May - HSC and Careers Expo

It was an incredible turn out this year at the HSC and Careers Expo, held at Randwick Racecourse on 28, 29 and 30 May 2026. The Teach NSW team had the pleasure of meeting plenty of excited students who expressed their enthusiasm to choose teaching as their career and step into the classroom.

Coming up: Career Compass series

Teach NSW is hosting an online Career Compass series, designed to support future and current teachers at different stages of their career journey. Sessions include information on pathways into teaching, scholarship programs, sponsored retraining programs and opportunities for teachers within Australia's largest education system.
