Apply to join the Minister's Student Council
Students are encouraged to apply for the Minister's Student Council, known as DOVES, and contribute to positive change in the NSW education system.
06 December 2022
Applications for 2023 are now open. DOVES (Department of Student Voices in Education and Schools) is the peak forum connecting NSW public school students to the Minister for Education, where students can contribute to positive change.
Benefits
Being on the DOVES Council allows students to have a voice and share their experiences and views on educational policies and programs. It also provides opportunities for leadership, networking and growth.
The Council is made up of 27 students representing schools from all of the educational directorates across NSW.
Applications
Applications are now open for students across NSW from years 5 – 9 to join the DOVES in 2023 for a two-year term.
Students need to submit an application form and video outlining why they’re interested in being part of DOVES and why they would be a great advocate for all students.
Applications close on 16 December 2022.
