What we do

We provide mentoring, counselling, case management, issue-based workshops for young people. We also provide breakfast clubs, holiday and after school activities. Our programs are designed to build participant capacity through skill-development, engagement and social connectivity. We focus on delivering person-centred, needs-based projects that reduce disadvantage and poverty in marginalised communities. TJW understands the complexities of delivering services to disadvantaged communities.

We can provide workshops and mentoring for students who may be struggling with a range of life issues including:

  • wellbeing
  • disengagement / re-engagement
  • setting goals
  • mental health
  • social media and stress management.

We provide a ‘drop-in’ for students who may just want to talk and get things off their chest. We also use sporting activities so that students have the chance to participate in a program that is supervised, controlled and safe. Our teams comprises youth workers, case managers and counsellors. Mentoring and case management is undertaken one-to-one. Our workshops are undertaken in full class groups or in groups of 15. Our activities can be delivered in or out of school.

Costs: $60 per hour.

Youth Clicks provides universal programs designed to inspire young people and develop their social skills as well as individual counselling and mentoring. We also provide student wellbeing programs in public schools. Workshops at schools are done in class groups or in smaller groups of up to 15 students. Youth Clicks is an afternoon school program that focuses on life skills and leadership. We also offer a sports program for all students at recess and lunch times. We give young people volunteering opportunities and school holiday programs. Our program facilitators are youth workers and counsellors. The target audience is students in Year 7 to 12. The program is delivered in schools. The time commitment for this program is negotiated with the school.

Other Student Engagement and Attendance Services

  • Breakfast Club
We provide a Breakfast Club at two schools in South West Sydney. As well as providing a healthy breakfast for participants, these events provide the opportunity for informal mentoring and soft referral to support services for students in need. We provide a healthy breakfast options including toast, cereal, fruit, yogurt, milk, juice and so on. Currently around 150 students take part. Breakfast Club helps kids engage with one another and talk to youth workers to find more support if needed. They also provide volunteering opportunities for students. The program is facilitated by qualified youth workers and open to all students in the school. It is held in schools and the time frame is two hours, once a week, at each school.

Costs: $60 per hour per staff member, food is additional. Schools will need to provide suitable space for the program to be delivered.
