What we do
CALM provides early-intervention programs and services to children, families and young people in Lake Macquarie. We offer evidence-based programs including family support, youth services, student wellbeing and community development. We recognise that early identification and trusted professional relationships are critical for successful interventions. All of our staff hold qualifications relevant to their position and current Working with Children clearances. They also have access to professional support, mandatory reporting training and are supported by their team leader.
- Junior Top Blokes Mentoring Program
This is an 8 - 16 week program for male students. It uses an early-intervention framework and provides a safe male-to-male environment that fosters critical thinking on taboo topics. We also provide 'before and after' evaluation data to participating schools. This program is delivered in small groups of up to 15 young men for one period a week and is most suitable for boys in Years 9 and 10.
