Funding calculations are determined based on training effort as measured by the total number of VET Higher School Certificate (HSC) units delivered by schools, as reported on NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Schools Online.
For the purpose of calculating training effort, an enrolment in a Stage 5, 100 hour VET course is equivalent to two HSC units.
Schools that delivered between two and ten HSC units of VET courses in 2021 receive $250, with a further $250 for each additional ten HSC units of VET courses or part thereof. Allocations are capped at $25,000.
Central schools and schools for specific purposes (SSPs) are allocated an additional $250 small school supplement.
