In NSW, veterans are all ex-serving personnel who served at least one day in the Australian Defence Force, including:
- people who experienced operational deployments and peacekeeping missions
- people who served in peacetime
- recognised partners of the above.
After leaving the Air Force in 2011, Mel Risby decided to try a new career in real estate. She chose a Certificate IV in Real Estate through TAFE NSW for its qualifications, flexibility and industry specific skills.
