Callie was a recipient of the Djinggi school-based traineeship program (staff only), proudly funded by the Elsa Dixon Aboriginal Employment Grant.

Along with completing her HSC, Callie also undertook a traineeship as a School Learning Support Officer (SLSO) and obtained a Certificate III in School Based Education and Support.

After completing her traineeship, Callie was offered a full-time role as an SLSO and is now undertaking further training to strengthen her skills.

"It's one thing to learn from a textbook, but being there in the classroom, forming relationships, and seeing the positive impact I can have on the students really confirmed that this was a career path I wanted to follow."
