School to work program

The NSW government is committed to providing quality, current careers advice to support students to make a successful transition to a range of post-school education, training and employment options. the School to Work Program encourages schools to be flexible, future focused and innovative in engaging with the wider community to support the career and transition needs of all their students.

The program’s main focus is secondary students. However, it also supports career-related learning in primary school and transition for students from primary to secondary school.

The key objectives of the program are:

  • planning transition pathways
  • exploring career futures
  • strengthening student outcomes through vocational learning
  • building networks and connections.
