Entry to Year 7 in 2017

The letter of Authority to attend a selective high school was sent on 13 January 2017 to parents of students attending Year 7 in a selective high school in 2017.

Students on reserve lists will be contacted if a place becomes available. Read about how the reserve lists work. The reserve lists are no longer published online. Contact the Unit to ask what the list is up to.

Students who had accepted an offer to a selective high school as well as having a place on a reserve list were removed from the reserve list at 3pm on 16 December 2016.

Entry to Year 7 in 2018

Year 7 applications for 2018 placement opened on 11 October 2016 and closed on 14 November 2016. Late applications are not accepted.

The Selective High School Placement Test will be held on 9 March 2017. The Test authority letter will be sent to applicants by email and by mail on 23 February 2017. Information about the test and the test centre to attend will be included.

If students cannot sit the test or are prevented from doing their best in the test, parents may wish to use the illness/misadventure process. Illness/misadventure claims must be submitted within two weeks after the test.
