The department has received representations from individuals and groups requesting Farrer Agricultural High School provide access for girls. Currently there are fewer agricultural high school opportunities in NSW for female students than there are for male students.

We want to understand what families and community groups are looking for and if there is a need to consider co-educational offerings at Farrer Memorial Agricultural High School.

Community consultation will open on Thursday 29 May 2025 and run until Friday 18 July 2025.

The department will provide an outcome following the community consultation by the end of 2025. Information gathered through the consultation process will help inform future educational offerings at the school.

At the end of the consultation process, a report outlining the findings will be prepared by the department. Information will be shared with school communities by the end of Term 4 2025.
