Year 7 reserves
A student's reserve list position for each school is listed on his or her outcome advice letter. The next student on the list is offered a place when a student with an offer declines that offer.
A student's reserve list number does not change. In some cases, such as a result of a successful appeal, two students can be placed at the same reserve list number. When this happens the student with the higher score will be made the first offer.
If your child's place on a reserve list is reached, the Team will contact you.
Reserve list for entry in 2020
The reserve lists for entry in 2020 are now closed.
Progress of the reserve lists for entry in 2021
The reserve list progress will be updated whenever there is significant movement. If you see no change, revisit the list a few days later to see if more offers have been made. Updates will not be made to a regular schedule. We will contact you when your reserve place is reached.
After the end of the school year, the reserve list will not be updated online. If your child is still on the reserve list and you would like to see if there is further movement of the reserve list after that time, email ssu@det.nsw.edu.au.

Example
A student is given a reserve list position of 10 for Alexandria Park Community School. When the reserve list number is 9 the applicant knows if a place becomes vacant they are next in line for an offer.
End of year removal from reserve lists
The names of students who accepted an offer to a selective high school in 2021 as well as having a place on the reserve list/s are removed from the reserve list/s after 3pm 16 December 2020. From this date until the end of Term 1 in the year of placement, offers will be made only to those applicants who have declined their previous offer or who have not yet received an offer.
