Social media toolkit – #EdWeek20
Ways to get involved, share the message and engage with our resources.
What’s it all about?
Education Week is an annual state-wide event in August that celebrates NSW public education. The week communicates the achievements of public schools, their students and the value of public education. Education Week 2020 runs between Monday 3 August and Friday 7 August.
This year's theme is Learning together. We are celebrating all our partners in learning, which includes our students, teachers and parents, and how learning together makes us stronger and creates resilient communities.
Much of the success of Education Week comes from the active participation of our schools.
Here are some ways to get involved, share the message and engage with our resources:
Include the #EdWeek20 hashtag in all of your social media posts so they are more discoverable. We source content from this hashtag pool to feature on the NSW Department of Education channels, so make sure you use it for a chance to be featured.
- Make videos using Schools Video
We want to see how your students, teachers and parents are celebrating Education Week. In addition to sharing photos, film everything from how your school is preparing for #EdWeek20, to your activities during the week, to ‘learning together’ tips from your school community.
Simply use Schools Video to produce your #EdWeek20 videos and share them on your social media channels.
- Engage with the whole community
Keep an eye on our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and join the conversation. See how other schools are celebrating, get inspiration and leave a comment to let them know what you love - social media is only social when you are being social.
There's more to come! Check back later to download examples of posts you can share leading up to and during #EdWeek20.
