Agriculture – Certificate II

This qualification provides an entry level occupational outcome in agriculture. The qualification enables individuals to select a livestock production or cropping context as a job focus or, in the case of mixed farming enterprises, both. Industry expects individuals with this qualification to carry out routine tasks under general supervision and exercise limited autonomy with some accountability for their own work.

Agriculture – Certificate III

Whether you are just starting your career in agriculture or want to build on your existing knowledge, this course will give you a comprehensive set of practical skills, as well as the chance to specialise in a particular type of farming.

Beekeeping – Certificate III

Students undertaking this traineeship can work in the apiary industry as beekeepers. This qualification provides an excellent grounding in extraction and pollination services. At the core level, students will learn to: •contribute to OHS processes •manage honey bee swarms •remove a honey crop from a hive •extract honey. There are around 10,000 registered beekeepers in Australia operating approximately 600,000 hives. Whilst honey is the most common apiary product, beeswax and royal jelly are also extracted.

Conservation and Land Management – Certificate II

This provides a platform from which trainees are introduced to a range of sectors that exist under the umbrella of the Conservation and Land Management Industry.The traineeship allows the graduate, working under direct supervision, to undertake a range of duties that includes working with plants, assisting with routine maintenance of equipment and the overall workplace environment.

Rural Operations – Certificate II

This school based traineeship provides trainees with the knowledge and skills required to work in various roles within the Rural Operations. This qualification provides an occupational outcome for industries and agencies in rural and regional Australia. Depending on the units selected individuals can be employed not only in rural industries but also other rural and regional sectors, such as local government, tourism, hospitality, transport, construction, community services, information technology and metals.
