Infrastructure is an exciting career path with jobs that are diverse and flexible. We are offering more than 100 school leavers a 2-year paid traineeship within NSW Government infrastructure agencies that will help you establish your career in this exciting industry.

What to expect

Over the two-year paid traineeship you will rotate between different organisations - government agencies, contractors and consultant organisations, to provide you with a valuable foundation and understanding of what infrastructure is all about.

The traineeships are paid, office based roles, and you will get to visit sites and learn about all how different roles play a part in delivering major projects, such as schools and hospitals. Trainees will be paid a salary of $35,871 p.a. plus super. .

Over the two years, you will study towards a Nationally Accredited Certificate III or IV VET course. The qualifications you can select from are:

  • Certificate IV in Business
  • Certificate IV in Project Management Practice
  • Certificate IV in Procurement and Contracting
  • Certificate III in Conservation and Land Management
  • Certificate IV in Surveying

You will have support and mentoring available. When you are finished, you can decide to go onto further study or full-time employment.
