TAFE NSW Start Your Future
TAFE NSW’s Start Your Future helps students identify potential career pathways through vocational tasters in a wide range of industries, delivered at a local TAFE NSW campus.
The Start your Future* initiative gets students out of the school setting into TAFE-style learning, usually attending a TAFE NSW campus one day per week over 6-10 weeks.
Initiative activities include:
- Taster courses in different industries leading to a TAFE NSW Statement in Youth Engagement
- TAFE NSW support services, including career counselling, mentoring, career advice, and literacy and numeracy support
- Visits to industry sites and real workplaces (COVID-19 restrictions permitting)
- Local funding to help with items such as PPE and transport
