In this episode

This episode sees host and heavy vehicle mechanic, Liam Muldoon, travel to Alstonville outside Ballina to meet a manager who’s investing in local youth. Christian Photiou from The Trident Fish and Grill has two trainees from Alstonville High School on the books, and we hear what Blake and Chelsea have to say about their traineeships. Liam also talks tourism and hospitality with representatives from Destination North Coast and Regional Industry Education Partnerships (RIEP), and meets a recent graduate who’s making her mark on a marketing role at the Ramada hotel in Ballina. With local tourism on the march and the region’s food scene going from strength to strength, there are plenty of reasons to be hopeful about what the region offers VET students.
