In this episode
We travel to the mid North Coast and catch up with Bonnie, a Woolgoolga High School student whose Careers Adviser helped her turn her passion for surfing into a school based traineeship at the local surf school. We also meet a young apprentice who has reignited his love for learning as a motor mechanic at the local NRMA service centre.
Heading up to Lismore, we chat with Margaret Hughes who is Programs Manager at CONNECT Northern Rivers, about the support they offer students through the Regional VET Pathways initiative. Finally, we put a VET myth under the microscope and debunk the idea that it’s difficult for VET graduates to find jobs.
