A new model of careers education

As part of the EPPP’s aim to strengthen careers advice and careers education, this initiative is creating a new model for schools to engage in career learning opportunities with their students.

Careers Immersion Teams, each led by a Head Teacher Careers, have been formed across each cluster of pilot schools to support careers education and immersion activity both inside schools and with external partners.

Increasing the uptake of School Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships

Building awareness of the Tertiary Apprenticeship pathway with the Master Builders Association

Students can earn while they learn on a pathway from apprentice to site supervisor, with the Master Builders Association Construction Management Tertiary Apprenticeship.

Fee free ‘test and try’ VET subjects for high school students - under NSW Smart and Skilled

Students will be able to test and try vocational learning through a Group Training Organisation while at school.

Support and mentoring for Regional VET Pathways on the North Coast

Young people will receive a personal Career Plan and get supported to finish school or start training or work.
