Update - Moss Vale Public School non-operational 6 November

An update on our communication last night regarding a possible case of COVID-19 at Moss Vale Public School.

We would like to provide an update in relation to our communication last night regarding a possible case of COVID-19.

NSW Health advised today that a student at Moss Vale Public School tested positive to COVID-19 and additional tests are being completed.
The school has completed the contact tracing process and close contacts are currently being notified by NSW Health and provided information on their requirement to self-isolate.

NSW Health has requested anyone who has been unwell or develops any symptoms such as a fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose, loss of smell/taste, muscle/joint pains, diarrhoea, nausea/vomiting or extreme tiredness to be tested at one of the COVID-19 clinics.

NSW Health has established a pop up COVID-19 testing clinic at Moss Vale Showground, 16 Illawarra Hwy, Moss Vale NSW 2577. The clinic will be open from 11am to 5pm today, Saturday and Sunday.

The school is currently being cleaned and further advice will be provided to confirm when the school will return to onsite learning.

The NSW Department of Education and NSW Health have been working closely to ensure the health and safety of all students and staff is maintained. Further information on COVID-19 is available on the NSW Health website.

The safety and wellbeing of our staff and students is of paramount importance to us at all times. As such we will continue to work closely with NSW Health to ensure that all necessary health advice is adhered to.

Thank you for your ongoing support.
