Rose Bay PS non-operational Monday 15 June

The school will remain non-operational on Monday 15 June 2020 for the on-site attendance of staff and students while the school conducts contact tracing and cleaning of the school.

Further to our advice last night we are now able to advise that a provider at the Rose Bay Public School before and after school care service has tested positive to COVID-19.

The school has commenced contact tracing and NSW Health will be contacting those identified as a close contact and advising them to remain in self-isolation for the required period. At this stage children who attended morning or afternoon out-of-hours school care between 2 June 2020 and 10 June 2020 (morning session only on 10 June 2020) are likely to be close contacts and need to be in home quarantine. NSW Health will call the parents of the children identified as possible close contacts over the weekend to confirm this information and answer any questions.

NSW Health has requested anyone who has been unwell or has flu like symptoms to be tested at one of the COVID-19 clinics. The following link provides a list of the locations of the clinics that can conduct testing for school-aged children https://seslhd.health.nsw.gov.au/covid-19-clinics. The Bondi Beach drive-through car park clinic on Park Drive North, Bondi Beach car park is available for children 5 years and over. For toddlers please refer to the Sydney Children’s Hospital at Randwick 9am – 4pm daily.

The safety and wellbeing of our staff and students is of paramount importance to us at all times. As such we will continue to work closely with NSW Health to ensure that all necessary health advice is adhered to.

Further information on COVID-19 is available on the NSW Health website @NSW Health. If you have any education related questions please contact 1300 338 679 (1300 EDU NSW).
