Moss Vale Public School non-operation on Friday 6 November due to a possible COVID-19 case.

We wish to advise that Moss Vale Public School will be non-operational for on-site teaching and learning on Friday 6 November 2020.

The school has been advised by NSW Health of a possible case of COVID-19. The person concerned is being tested and the results will be confirmed tomorrow.

The school will be non-operational for the on-site attendance of staff and students tomorrow and will be thoroughly cleaned as an extra precaution while we await the test results.

The Moss Vale Out of School Hours (MVOOSH) will also be non-operational during this time.

All staff and students are required to self-isolate until you receive further advice.

Further advice will be provided tomorrow, Friday 6 November 2020.

While the school site is non-operational, learning materials are available through the department’s Learning from home website.

NSW Health has requested anyone who has been unwell, even with the mildest symptoms or if you develop any symptoms such as a fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose, loss of smell/taste, muscle/joint pains, diarrhoea, nausea/vomiting or extreme tiredness to be tested at a priority at one of the COVID-19 testing clinics.

Further information about COVID-19 is available on the NSW Health website.

The NSW Department of Education will continue to work closely with NSW Health to ensure the health and safety of all students and staff is maintained.

The safety and wellbeing of our staff and students are of paramount importance to us at all times. As such we will continue to work closely with NSW Health to ensure that all necessary health advice is adhered to.

Thank you for your ongoing support.
