Lane Cove West Public School will be non-operational for on-site learning tomorrow Thursday 25 June 2020 as a Year 2 student has tested positive for COVID-19.

Lane Cove West Public School will be non-operational for on-site learning tomorrow Thursday 25 June 2020. All students will undertake at home learning tomorrow. The department has been advised by NSW Health that a Year 2 student has tested positive for COVID-19.

The school will be non-operational for the on-site attendance of staff and students tomorrow to allow for contact tracing to occur. The school will be cleaned tomorrow prior to school resuming.

The school will continue to support students with learning materials provided by classroom teachers using SeeSaw and Zoom tomorrow. Alternatively, learning materials are available while the school site is non–operational through the department’s Learning from home site.

NSW Health has requested anyone who has been unwell or has flu-like symptoms to be tested at one of the COVID-19 clinics. A clinic has been set up at Royal North Shore Hospital for students from the school. Only students who are unwell with a fever or respiratory symptoms such as a sore throat or cough need to be tested. The clinic is located on level 4 of the Douglas Building at RNSH (access from Sturt Place off Reserve Rd) and will be open from 7am. Find other testing locations.

Further advice will be provided tomorrow advising when the school will resume on-site learning.
