Fort Street HS resumes operations

Fort Street High School will resume on-site learning tomorrow Friday 31 July 2020.

Fort Street High School was non-operational for on-site learning today, Thursday 30 July 2020, as a precaution pending confirmation of a COVID-19 test result. The school has been advised by NSW Health today that the person concerned has tested negative to COVID-19.

The school has been thoroughly cleaned and will resume on-site learning tomorrow Friday 31 July 2020.

While we recognise this was disruptive and inconvenient for many families it is important that we follow NSW Health advice and take all necessary precautions to minimise the risk of transmission to support the vulnerable members of our community.

We would like to thank you for your cooperation and support. We will continue to work closely with NSW Health to ensure that all necessary health advice is adhered to and that the health and safety of all students and staff continues to be given the highest priority.

The school will continue to be vigilant in implementing infection control procedures, including daily cleaning in accordance with normal protocols, the promotion of healthy hygiene habits and will continue to make hand sanitiser available for staff and students to use while at school.

Further information on COVID-19 is available from NSW Health. If you have any education-related questions please contact 1300 338 679 (1300 EDU NSW).

Thank you again for your understanding and support.
