Date change for Selective High School Placement Test

With floods and the impact of COVID disrupting students and schools, the Department has decided to postpone the Selective High Schools Placement Test.

The Selective High Schools Placement Test scheduled for Thursday, March 10 has been rescheduled for Thursday, March 31.

The decision was made due to the flooding emergency across NSW, along with the impacts of COVID, affecting the ability of students to attend an operational school or test centre to sit the exam.

Up to 15,000 students were due to sit the test tomorrow.

The date change will not disadvantage students that were set to sit the test.

All students will receive the same test experience on the same test date to ensure a fair and equitable process.

Affected parents/carers and students have already been advised of the change.

The Department will continue to monitor the situation and make further adjustments as required in the advent of any further issues closer to the date of the rescheduled test.
