Berala Public School COVID-19 temporary testing clinic now open

A temporary pop-up COVID-19 testing clinic has been set up at Berala Public School to provide more convenient access to testing for our local community.

In response to a request from Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD), a temporary pop-up COVID-19 testing clinic has been set up at Berala Public School to provide more convenient access to testing for our local community.

The additional walk-in clinic will be situated outside the school hall at Berala Public School at 216 Harrow Road from 5.30pm to 8pm today, and then every day from 8am to 8pm. Access to all other areas of school grounds and its facilities, such as school drinking fountains, will not be permitted. Please bring your own water to stay hydrated while waiting for your test.

Testing is free, all ages are welcome, and no booking or GP referral is required.

NSW Health has requested that anyone who has been unwell or is developing any symptoms such as a fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose, loss of smell/taste, muscle/joint pains, diarrhoea, nausea/vomiting or extreme tiredness to self-isolate and arrange to be tested.

Face masks are now mandatory in indoor settings such as shopping (retail, supermarkets and shopping centres); public/shared transport; indoor entertainment (including cinemas and theatres); places of worship and hair and beauty premises. Face masks will be provided to people who are attending the testing clinic to receive a test.

There are now 27 testing clinics across Western Sydney Local Health District – find your nearest COVID-19 testing clinic, and stay up to date with the latest COVID-19 news at the NSW Government website.

We ask members of the community to only attend Berala Public School if they require testing at the COVID Testing Clinic.

The clinic will cease operation prior to end of the school holiday period. The school will confirm once cleaning has taken place and arrangements made to welcome our staff and students to commence the 2021 school year.

The NSW Department of Education will continue to work closely with NSW Health in 2021 to support the public response to COVID-19.
