Students will get their hands dirty for a good cause tomorrow as they take part in Clean Up Australia Day events.
Public school students across NSW will be getting their hands dirty for a good cause tomorrow when they take part in the annual Schools Clean Up Day as part of Clean Up Australia Day events.
Australian school children have been participating in the environmental action day since 1992 and have made a huge difference in keeping their communities clean.
Last year alone, more than 2000 schools participated in Clean Up Australia Day events, making an immense contribution to the 14,139 tonnes of rubbish removed in 2017.
Schools Clean Up Day is a fun and engaging way to teach young Australians about the responsible disposal of rubbish, resource recovery and the repercussions of rubbish dumped irresponsibly in the local environment.
Clean Up Australia Day in the community will take place on Sunday, March 4.
