OSHC Quality Development Program
The Outside School Hours Care Quality Development Program (OSHC QDP) is a targeted program designed to support quality improvement in the OSHC sector. The program focuses on building the knowledge and capability of educators and directors in OSHC services operating under the National Quality Framework (NQF).
Out of School Hours Care services have a unique approved learning framework and operating environment. Targeted support catering to these unique needs can help ensure the highest possible quality of care is delivered and maintained for the long term.
Ongoing quality development is important for delivering quality outcomes for children attending OSHC services. High quality OSHC services will result in a reduction in incidents and a safer environment for children. Improving quality means families can be confident that their children are receiving high quality education and care.
Attend an OSHC Forum
In these sessions, there will be an opportunity to engage in professional conversations and problem solving with other educators. You are encouraged to bring your QIP and a sample of your program and any documentation you would like to share.
The second round of forums will focus on OSHC programming and practice, including critical reflection on the programming cycle and documentation processes used in OSHC.
The program is being delivered on behalf of the Department of Education by Early Childhood Australia and Network of Community Activities in partnership.
Each session will run from 10am to 1pm and is targeted at OSHC Co-ordinators and Educational Leaders.
