    We are currently seeking input from early childhood education providers on how best to support the needs of families, children and communities in remote and regional areas. This will help ensure we meet our target to increase participation and provide universal access to early childhood services across the state.

  • Rural and Remote Early Childhood Teaching Scholarships

    Thirty scholarships of up to $10,000 each are available for diploma qualified educators working in rural and remote communities, and areas with an identified shortage of early childhood teachers, to help ensure equal access to quality childhood education for all children.

  • New ACECQA resources

    The department is working with the Federal Government and other jurisdictions to support quality improvement in the family day care sector, and to ensure family day care providers understand their obligations and responsibilities under the National Law.

  • ECED consulting with the sector

    The directorate is holding a series of information and consultation sessions with the early childhood sector in May. In thirteen separate sessions at eleven locations across Sydney suburbs and regional centres, we'll be discussing some of the key policies and initiatives being developed and implemented.
