ACECQA explores vocational education

With the National Quality Framework now in its fifth year, an increase in quality ratings among services has been achieved as a result of the consistent focus on ensuring compliance with the national framework.

The focus among regulators nationally is now turning to achieving quality educational outcomes for children and considering how services may be better supported to do this.

The States and Territories and the Commonwealth held a vocational education symposium led by the Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA), to discuss sector preparedness for improving educational outcomes , including ways of attracting and retaining high quality professionals within the sector.

The symposium featured government and early childhood sector representatives,  including services and peak bodies, as well as participants from the vocational education sector. Department of Education early childhood staff also attended and contributed to these discussions.

Robust discussions throughout the event highlighted the commitment and passion of all participants in working on achieving quality educational outcomes for children.

Many thanks to ACECQA for organising a successful event!
