Next round of sector consultations open
Next round of sector consultations open
The second round of sector consultation sessions has commenced, with a total of 16 sessions planned in 15 locations around the state, to discuss key policies and initiatives over the next 4 weeks.
Building on the high levels of engagement in the successful May consultation series, the department is continuing its commitment to working closely with the sector to ensure ongoing positive engagement and participation.
The consultations provide a direct opportunity to seek feedback which helps shape strategies to support best practice in early childhood education and the delivery of high quality services for children and their families. The face-to-face format of the sessions has proven very useful for collecting and sharing information and facilitating open discussions on a range of topics.
The upcoming sessions will explore initiatives such as the Early Childhood Education workforce plan, provide further clarity on the changes to the National Law and Regulations and for community preschools, an outline of new arrangements to support the participation of children with a disability. These interactive sessions will again have an emphasis on gathering feedback from participants throughout the day.
Due to the popularity of the previous consultations, we have selected venues with greater seating capacity, but services are encouraged to book in quickly to avoid disappointment. Wait-listing is also available for all venues.
