New ACECQA resources

The department is working with the Federal Government and other jurisdictions to support quality improvement in the family day care sector, and to ensure family day care providers understand their obligations and responsibilities under the National Law.

The health, safety and wellbeing of all children in NSW services is paramount, and we have a strong system of regulation in NSW to provide the best outcomes for children.

Parents rightly expect their children accessing early childhood services will experience safe, quality, well-regulated services run by staff who protect and ensure their health, safety and wellbeing, and meet their educational and developmental needs.

As part of this ongoing work, the Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) has developed five new practical resources for family day care services. These have been developed in consultation with the family day care sector and peak bodies, including tailored information for the respective staff roles.
