Expressions of Interest to establish a new panel
Services and providers will be aware of the Early Childhood Education Directorate’s Sector Development Program, which supports the early childhood education workforce through the provision of professional development activities and resources.
The current Sector Development Program panel expires on 30 June 2018.
The department has announced an Expression of Interest process for new and existing panellists to apply to join the Sector Development Program panel from 1 July 2018 to 30 June 2021. The expression of interest is now open until 20 April 2018.
As with the existing panel, it’s important to remember that appointment to the Sector Development Program panel for 2018-2021 does not guarantee a panellist will be engaged to deliver support, training and resources under this program.
The Sector Development Program panel will also be used to deliver Sector Capacity Building Program activities under the Disability and Inclusion Program.
To be admitted to the Panel, interested parties will be required at a minimum to be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in one or more of the following development areas:
- Embedding policy and regulatory changes
Embedding early childhood education and care policy and regulatory changes arising from the National Quality Framework and associated reform at Sector and Service level.
- Professional development
Assisting with professional development of early childhood educators, teachers and staff. This includes support to deliver quality early childhood education pedagogy and practice that meets the national quality standards, other professional development needs of staff and to build the capacity of educators to work effectively alongside Aboriginal children and families.
- Universal access
Developing innovative service models and programs to promote universal access for children including disadvantaged children, children from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, Aboriginal children, and children in regional and remote areas.
- Social enterprise
Building social enterprise and management skills to improve service sustainability.
- Disability (Sector Capacity Building)
- Provide support to services to enable children with disability and additional needs to participate in a quality early childhood education program on the same basis as their peers.
- Emerging priorities
Responding to emerging Sector and Service priorities and current issues impacting early childhood education and care as identified by the Government and the Department.
Interested parties with suitable experience are encouraged to apply for selection.
Early Childhood Intervention Services will be aware of the Sector Capacity Building Program, one of the components of the Disability and Inclusion Program, which focusses on supporting staff in preschools to deliver high quality inclusive educational experiences for all children, particularly for those children with disability and additional learning needs.
The Sector Development Program Panel will be used to deliver Sector Capacity Building Program activities under the Disability and Inclusion Program.
