May Roadshow reaches record numbers in NSW ECE sector
Engaging, entertaining and social were among the words used in participant feedback describing the recent Early Childhood Education (ECE) Roadshow conducted across NSW.
The department held roadshow sessions during May and June over a period of 8 weeks, taking the face-face meetings to a wide range of locations, with 14 sessions across 7 metropolitan and 7 regional locations.
Combining the regular roadshow with an opportunity to participate in the NQF review, more than 1300 members of the ECE sector attended.
With feedback on Assessment and Ratings, updates from the Regulatory and Programs teams, a workshop on promoting the mental health of young people, and input into the NQF Review in stand-alone sessions, the series provided diverse content, along with opportunities for the sector to discuss and share their unique perspectives.
The roadshows are a fantastic opportunity for a two-way exchange of information and experiences, and to meet face-to-face with services and providers from across the state.
The early childhood education team at the department extends thanks to all who were able to attend and look forward to seeing new participants in September when we hit the road again.
“Thanks for offering these roadshows – it’s good to put faces to names and to hear current info.” - Roadshow attendee
