May Consultations Wrap Up

Following another round of sector consultation sessions in May, staff from the department were delighted to see those of you who were able to attend one of the 12 sessions held across the state.

At these events, the Early Childhood Education team provided a regulatory update and presented information on current programs. There was lively discussion and opportunities for interactive question and answer sessions with senior leaders in the Early Childhood Education Directorate.

The slides from the department’s presentations are now available.

We were fortunate to partner with the team from NSW Health who presented on the updated Blue Book which now includes developmental surveillance to assist parents to learn the signs and act early. The slides from that presentation are also available.

In preparation for the introduction of the new Child Care Subsidy, the Commonwealth Government Department of Education and Training provided information on the new child care package.  We have attached a copy of the slides on the new child care package.

We appreciate the ongoing participation by the sector in these engagement opportunities, and all the feedback you have provided on the sessions.

In response to feedback on  timing  we will be holding our next roadshow in September 2018, with a new range of locations to choose from should you wish to attend.

More information will be available soon and look out for an email regarding the registration process shortly.
