Out of School Hours Care grants news
The NSW Government established the Before and After School Care Fund for schools and local councils to apply for grants of up to $30,000 to help establish a new out of school hours care (OSHC) service or expand an existing one.
On 31 May 2017, the NSW Government announced that the Fund has also been opened up to not-for-profit providers to help establish or expand services not located in schools or on local council sites.
Grants can be used for a range of purposes including:
- Site modification and fit-out costs
- Project management (including tendering or regulatory costs)
- New equipment to support the creation of new before and after school care places.
Grants are available to help support the delivery of up to 45,000 additional out of school hours care (OSHC) places.
If your service has unmet demand for before and after school care, please visit the Department's before and after school care fund page for more information.
