Awards celebrate excellence in early childhood education
Four young early childhood educators selected as finalists in the NSW/ACT Young Achiever Awards have helped shine a spotlight on the value of early childhood educators in the community.
These awards recognise and promote the achievements of young people aged 29 and under in NSW and the ACT, and are awarded across a range of categories including early childhood education (ECE).
Following a large number of nominations in the ECE category - NSW Department of Education Early Childhood Educator Award – we can reveal the winner and finalists were:
- Winner: Niki Ficsor – from Silverwater
- Noelle Tsang – from North Ryde
- Lauren Welch – from Bolwarra
- Rebecca Linfoot – from Frogs Hollow
Winner Niki Fiscor at the presentation night, said this award was a great opportunity to bring some recognition among the wider community to the high levels of achievement demonstrated by skilled early childhood educators.
“I am honoured to have been the recipient of the Early Childhood Education Award sponsored by NSW Department of Education. Having this opportunity to be part of a community full of young inspiring peers has motivated me to continue on my education journey. It has also encouraged me to spread recognition to others.
"I hope one day the little minds that I am currently shaping will be recognised for their achievements too”, said Niki.
