Financial Acquittals - Information for Services
Why do I need to submit my annual accountability reports?
Submission of annual financial accountability reports is a requirement under the NSW Department of Education’s Grant Programs Terms and Conditions.
By which date do I need to complete my acquittal?
For acquittals released on Monday 17 June 2019, the financial accountability must be completed by Friday 26 July 2019.
When do I know if I need to complete my online financial accountability reports?
An email notification is always sent to the primary contact of each funding specification to advise that the statement has been added to the Accountability tab in ECCMS and is ready for completion.
Do I have to complete my acquittals online?
Yes. All acquittals must be submitted via the Early Childhood Contract Management System (ECCMS).
Do I need an AUSkey to complete my financial accountability?
Yes. Financial accountability is completed through ECCMS. To access ECCMS, you will need an AUSkey. Please click here for step by step instructions on how to set this up.
How to complete my financial accountability in ECCMS?
- On the ECCMS menu, click Funding Specification.
- Locate and click the Funding Specification with the Statement of Expenditure that corresponds with the funding you have received
- Click the Accountability tab.
- Locate the correct Financial Year, and then under Accountability tab, click the Financial hyperlink, which opens the Statement of Expenditure to be completed.

(Please note: When a Statement of Expenditure is added to a funding specification’s Accountability tab in ECCMS, it has a Status of Draft. After the statement is submitted, its Status changes to Submitted.)
